The Patriots are In our heads!!

Another demoralizing lost to the New England Patriots at Hines field.
A lot of excuses are being made including the following:

1.) Randal-El's botched lateral attempt
2.) 52 seconds being added to clock
3.) blah..blah..blah

The facts are the Steelers didn't run the ball very well(only 79 yards rushing) and lost the time of possession battle: 35:23 to 24:37





Here's the problem in a nutshell:


This man: Bill Belichick











is smarter than








this man: Bill Cowher










So the Steelers are 2-1 and it's not the end of the world but it is a reason for concern. But unless Cowher can start playing to win instead of playing not to lose the Steelers are looking at another horrible playoff lost. This team has the talent to win it all but I question whether they have the coaching to do so.

Coming into a bye week the Steelers will have a chance to lick their wounds and figure out how to bounce back. However keep in mind that those lovable "Bungals" are in now leading the division with a cupcake schedule ahead.

Personally there is a part of my that hopes the Steelers don't win the division and have to earn it as a wild card team. The bandwagon was getting a little heavy anyway and the Steelers seem to play hard as underdog.
